About the Author
Lucia Lehrer is a lifelong creative whose journey began in early childhood, when she first discovered her natural talent and deep love for art. Nurturing that passion, she went on to build a successful 40-year career in the fashion industry, establishing herself as a visionary designer known for her attention to detail and artistic flair.
After retiring from the world of fashion, Lucia felt inspired to channel her creativity into a new purpose—early childhood education. Drawing from her life experiences and artistic background, she dedicated the next 15 years to developing The Teachings of Looseeloo, a unique and engaging educational program for young children.
Her work is rooted in years of intensive research, observation, and hands-on involvement in both daycare centers and private teaching environments. Through this process, Lucia saw firsthand how eager, joyful, and enthusiastic children were when introduced to interactive learning—especially when it involved movement, creativity, and fun.
The Teachings of Looseeloo is more than just an educational tool; it’s a labor of love designed to help children not only learn the alphabet but also explore it through American Sign Language. This dual-learning approach encourages active participation, enhances communication skills, and fosters confidence in children from an early age.
Lucia’s greatest hope is that your children find joy, curiosity, and inspiration in these books—just as she found in creating them.
